SwiftCloud celebrate opening of new offices

newsJan 29, 2024

SwiftCloud have officially launched its new offices which will involve a total investment of £1 million over the next five years.

We have moved from the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre in Huddersfield to Folly Hall Mills at Folly Hall.

The move to the new office space has coincided with a hat-trick of major client wins which has seen fresh produce giant Dole, commercial vehicle manufacturer Isuzu Truck UK and supermarket staple Tilda Rice coming on board.

SwiftCloud, has experienced impressive growth over the last 12 months, achieving just under £2.5m in turnover, a 28% increase year-on-year and its fourth year of profitable growth.

We now have a 50-strong team and boasts 218 clients, with major brands including Pepsi Co, Pukka Pads and AG BARR.

We have also significantly grown its channel partner network this year, with 33 resellers and referrers now on board.

The new premises include the creation of a suite of executive offices and a new boardroom, named the Armitage Suite.

The Armitage Suite is a tribute to Peter Armitage, a non-executive director at Adventoris and founding partner of Key Capital Partners, who passed away in March 2023.

Peter was one of the original investors in the company and has contributed significantly to the business over the years.

Located on St Thomas’ Road in Huddersfield, Folly Hall Mills is a Grade II* listed building originally constructed in the 1820s by Huddersfield builder, Joseph Kaye, who was the man behind many of Huddersfield’s iconic buildings, including the railway station and the George Hotel. The mill was rebuilt in 1844 after a fire.

The site has hosted a number of traders over the years, most notably the internationally acclaimed worsted yarn company, Joseph Lumb & Co, which is responsible for the creation of the Golden Bale medal, an accreditation for worsted yarn that is now an international standard.

As well as having a rich heritage in Huddersfield, the site also has a personal connection with our CEO James Clarkson, whose wife’s grandmother used to work on the looms there.

Speaking of the news, Mr Clarkson said: “We’ve had another fantastic year and this is a move that will help take Adventoris to the next level.

“It will solidify our place in the market, allowing us the space and opportunity to grow and develop the team and offering, while continuing to be a part of the wonderful Huddersfield business community.

“Folly Hall Mills is the ideal site for us continue growing as we look ahead to further global expansion this year.

“I am proud that we can include a tribute to Peter in our new space, through the Armitage Suite. Peter was a huge part of the business and is greatly missed.
